The foundation is in liquidation.

Dear friends, dear volunteers and all who supported us in the last almost 4 years.

As a foundation we have come a long way and managed to accomplish some of the goals. Our pilot project in Colombia was finalized successfully. But due to difficult situation of the partner the board of the foundation decided not to continue the cooperation further as it became obvious that a bigger project might not be feasible… Also in the Netherlands the board faced problems,  a bigger project  would bring a bigger workload that the board members and volunteers unfortunately could not commit to.

The board has re-assessed the situation and came to a decision to suspend work of the foundation and liquidate the organization itself in the last board meeting on the 13th of March 2012. All the assets of the foundation should be transferred to an organization or a project with a similar goals and activities as the foundation Ninos en Contacto had, as was stipulated in the articles of association.

Shortly we will post on this website an overview of the organizations/projects that the board decided to transfer the assets to. This information is intended to provide insight for our supporters and donors into the situation around liquidation of the foundation.

Also this website and the e-mail address of the foundation will function for several months after the foundation is liquidated, so if you have questions or comments please share with us.

Finally on behalf of the board I would like to thank you all once again for the support and interest in the work we did, and in believing in us! We all will continue making our contribution to achieve our ideals but in a different way now.

The foundation will cease to exist at the end of May. The funds that the foundation has on at its disposal at the moment of liquidation are transferred to two organizations that have the goal and run projects similar to those of the Foundation Ninos en Contacto in Latin American countries.
